A New Era of Breeding at Sunbury Lodge
Founded by Anne and Ross Smith in the early 90's, Sunbury Lodge is a world class equestrian facility offering both horses and riders a friendly, comfortable environment. Situated in picturesque surrounds of Kyneton, central Victoria, Sunbury Lodge offers all of the conveniences and amenities necessary for elite dressage training.
Sunbury Lodge's breeding program has recently been rekindled with the purchase of four beautiful horses from the Isle Of Wight farm in Tatura. Fillies Isle Of Arlington and Isle Of Armadale mark the inception of this new era for Sunbury Lodge.
Anne believes that Isle of Wight horses are comparable to the best anywhere in the world, given their excellent bloodlines, strong legs and superb temperaments. This is a time of excitement for Sunbury Lodge.
In the past, Sunbury Lodge's breeding program has produced some of Australia's finest bloodlines, with horses achieving international success in dressage events at all levels.
Anne Smith trained in Europe with one of Europe's leading trainers, Jean Bemelmans, and competed in the International Grand Prix in five European countries, as well as in Australia. She is a long time National FEI and EFA competitor.
Anne has bred numerous successful horses including FEI competitors Sunbury Lodge Playwright, Sunbury Lodge Thomas, and Sunbury Lodge Toronto as well as many others at all levels.
